Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (2010)

A Barterra exclusive! This Alexander Valley cab is already a double medal-winner and will continue to gain in complexity. You'll taste the reason why Cabernet Sauvignon is among the most popular California red wines.

  • Bronze medal, San Francisco International Wine Competition - the largest, most influential international wine competition in America.
  • Silver medal, Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

Wine History: The grapes were grown in Delmar's vineyard high above the Alexander Valley north of Napa, where climate and soil are superb for Cabernet Sauvignon vines. This wine was aged in new French oak and second-year American oak, and was produced exclusively for Barterra Winery. Production was limited to 250 cases.

Tasting Notes: A luscious, full-bodied and slightly earthy cab with hints of fruit, oak and chocolate and a long, smooth, finish. This well-balanced wine looks, smells, and tastes superb and is bound to impress. The minute you taste it, you'll know why Alexander Valley Cabs are world-renowned. Pairs well with filet mignon, eggplant parmesan, and mushroom dishes. Save some to sip after the meal with chocolate truffles.
