This old vine Zinfandel showcases Lodi’s most famous varietal – luscious and fruit forward.
Wine History: Zinfandel vines were first planted in California during the Gold Rush, and they continue to thrive in the top wine-growing regions such as Lodi in the hot central valley south of Sacramento. Lodi has come into its own as one of California’s top appellations for old-vine Zinfandels. This wine uses Old Vine Zinfandel planted in the 1960’s. The wine is produced using a “free run juice” method.
Tasting Notes: This lovely wine is a top seller and displays beautifully structured tannins which are never harsh. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for the next 4-6 years.
